About SpaceCheck
SpaceCheck answers one narrow question: will this sofa, sectional, or dining table fit — comfortably — in my room? Furniture listings give you dimensions, but it's genuinely hard to picture what 950 mm of seat depth means for the walkway behind it. SpaceCheck turns a few ordinary measurements into a scaled sketch, exact clearances, and a plain verdict.
This is not CAD software, a full interior-design platform, an AI room scanner, or a 3D renderer. It doesn't try to be.
What we believe
- Decision before design. Answer whether it fits before offering decorative planning.
- Numbers before confidence. Every verdict shows the measurements behind it — never just "fits" or "doesn't fit".
- Guidance, not false precision. Clearance values are planning guidance, not building-code certification.
- Simple before complete. You shouldn't need to draw an entire floor plan to check one sofa.
- Local before cloud. Calculations — and any optional room photo — stay on your device.
How it's built
SpaceCheck is a static website: there's no account, no server-side database, and no AI involved in the calculations. Every measurement you enter is processed by plain arithmetic running in your browser. You can read the exact rules on the methodology page.
The sofa catalogue
Our curated catalogue is a small, manually verified list of real sofa and sectional models available to Canadian shoppers, each linked back to its official retailer page with a last-verified date. It's a convenience, not a comprehensive shopping engine — "enter my own dimensions" always works, catalogue or not.
